Research Interest:
My current research interests include the use of theory and simulation
to gain a better understanding of molecular systems in a biological context. In particular,
we are interested in the behavior of proteins inside the ribosome tunnel and understanding
the effects that spatial confinement and water have on protein’s secondary structure acquisition.
I am also interested in improving new techniques of DNA sequencing, such as electron tunneling
spectroscopy of DNA translocation through a nanopore.
My long term research interests are quite broad, ranging from the molecular mechanisms of aging
and age related diseases to the foundations of quantum mechanics.
